What is RSS?
RSS stands for 'Really Simple Syndication' - a system that allows you to subscribe to information 'feeds' containing up-to-date information on the subjects that you are interested in. Many established websites already provide RSS feeds, mainly for news headlines, blog entries, etc.
How do I use RSS?
The first thing you need is a small piece of software called a news reader. There are a number of different news readers available all of which enable you to subscribe to RSS feeds and display their content. You can also use some web browsers to view RSS feeds without having to use a separate application. Firefox for PC and Safari for Mac are examples of such browsers with built-in RSS handling. We have provided some links to recommended standalone news readers below:
To view one of our feeds in your news reader:
Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide which feeds you want to subscribe to:
Copy the 'Feed URL' that corresponds to the genre that interests you.
Paste this URL into your reader.
You should now be subscribed to your chosen feed! Updates will be downloaded to your computer whenever new tracks are added to the site including direct links to artist pages and track information.
